Fleeting Beauties

Along San Diego
spring sidewalks
joyful jacarandas
burst luscious
lavender blooms.
Before long
they fade wrinkle
fall crushed beneath
feet to elicit
perfume bittersweet
until kind wistful
winds do sweep.
