It’s a Fall Poem!

Fall Gift from Above

After the storm
at summer’s end
squirrel peeks
head through
grassy mound.

Boulders shine.
Honeysuckle
vines hug rickety-
fence. Butterflies
flit in tandem
among sweet
smelling sage.

Quenched earth with
gratitude receives
each precious droplet.

  1. Another lovely poem, Jill – each turn of phrase is so evocative…your words paint a beautiful picture!
